An unlikely story…
David Ousley
Raised by a single-mother, David O. learned to lead and serve at an early age. Married at 19, he would go on to earn his two Masters’ degrees and the CPCU designation in the insurance industry. After 18 years with the #1 insurance company in Florida, 15 years in management, David launched his Leadership Consulting company at the beginning of 2022.
In 2022, he is interviewing 50 leaders to become YouTube videos and podcasts, hosting Live2Lead leadership conference in Lakeland, publishing a children’s book, writing a leadership book, teaching Leadership Competencies at Florida Southern College, and starting his PhD in Organizational Leadership at Southeastern University. His company, David O. Leadership, focuses on connecting others to their purpose and passion to yield record-breaking results in their personal and professional lives. He works with successful companies who want to achieve record-breaking results in a short time through his focused approach to building structure and processes to empower every player on the team.
Personal Life and Service Projects
In his personal life, he has volunteered as a baseball, volleyball, and basketball coach and has served abroad on mission trips to Haiti, Santo Domingo, the Bahamas, Rwanda, Puerto Rico, and Ireland. He loves to help and inspire others through serving. He, and his wife of 22 years, have four teenage children. He is a passionate speaker, coach, communicator, father, and husband who loves to laugh and make others smile.
